Duerméte, Niño Lindo
An interactive fiction game about coming to terms with having a mixed (Latino, Arab, Jewish) ethnic identity while living in a primarily Latinx community.
This game has my deadname and old pronouns in it since I made it in December 2015, almost a year before coming out. I didn't change that because I felt it was important to my identity at the time.

Hi Manolo, thank you for this. I was just researching names for my first game when I stumbled upon this story.
I am half Chilean, half Swedish, born and raised in Sweden. Chilenos call me "Vikingo". Swedes always ask me about my strange name and where my parents are from.
This story really affected me. You really managed to succinctly capture that everyday feeling of being "questioned" if you get what I mean.
My own story that I'm working on is mainly about my brother who passed away and my family and how they formed my identity. This story made me realise that I want to try to include something about how it can feel to be at war with your "labels" sometimes.
Thank you!
Kind regards,
Cristóbal Duran
